Localist API
The Office of Public Affairs and Communications aggregates many sources of Event activity on campus and provides it through a Localist based API. This endpoint wraps around the Campus Localist endpoint (https://campuscalendar.ucsb.edu/api/2/events), giving greater visibility to the API service.
Direct Access
You can access the endpoint directly. For example, to retrieve the full list of events from the Campus use https://campuscalendar.ucsb.edu/api/2/events. There are parameters and search endpoints on the API which can give you filtered results. The localist documentation has greater details on how to search and filter the results.
Access through the Campus API Gateway
Access to the API Gateway endpoint (https://api.ucsb.edu/academics/events/v1) is automatically approved, so you can use it right away. The API Gateway acts as a pass through that sends all requests to https://campuscalendar.ucsb.edu/api/2/events.
